In Medieval times, stripes were worn by prisoners. Through the ages, stripes have become more mainstream due to the efforts of designers like Coco Chanel.
She was inspired by the prisoners’ uniform during her trip to the French Rivera, and she started to apply the “Navy and White Strips” into her designs.
During the 1960s and 70s, more and more people started to wear striped shirts as the garment was seen as a symbol of rebellion. In this project, we will be infusing the rebel spirit of stripes and the mainstream allure of an editorial shoot. This project included the collaboration of multiple artists to capture the images. The lighting and photography style will be High Key and the makeup will be in the style of beauty with some dramatic eyeliner and eyeshadow. These images were submitted to several magazines. Published.
